  • Prayer Begins with God
    Apr 12 2026
Why does almost everyone pray at some point — even if they’re not sure who they’re praying to?

In this opening message of our 4-week series “When You Pray”, we explore the built-in human longing to reach out to God, why prayer often feels difficult in our busy and distracted world, and how Jesus invites us to talk to our heavenly Father — honestly, like children.

We look at what prayer actually is, why it begins with God (not our shopping list), and how the Holy Spirit helps us cry “Abba, Father.” Whether you’re a seasoned pray-er or someone who finds it really hard, this series is for you.

If prayer feels unnatural or you want to grow in your relationship with God, hit play and be encouraged. Prayer isn’t a duty — it’s the joy of talking with your loving Father.

🙏 Want to pray more naturally? Open your Bible this week and start talking back to God.

  • The True Vine: Remain in Jesus & Bear Lasting Fruit
    Mar 29 2026
In this powerful message on Jesus’ final “I AM” statement, we explore John 15 where Jesus declares, “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.”
Using the story of a neglected backyard lemon tree that only began to flourish when it received consistent care, we see a picture of our own spiritual lives. Just as the tree couldn’t bear fruit on its own, Jesus says clearly: “Apart from me you can do nothing.”
We contrast Israel — God’s vineyard that produced only bad fruit (Isaiah 5) — with Jesus, the True Vine who perfectly fulfils what Israel could not. As branches grafted into Him, we are called to bear lasting fruit: lives that shine as a light to the nations and advance God’s mission.

Discover the practical keys to fruitfulness:
    - Remaining in Jesus and obeying His word
    - Praying bold, mission-shaped prayers
    - Loving sacrificially as Jesus loved us

You’ll also be encouraged by the loving work of the Gardener who prunes us — through His Word, conviction, and even trials — so we can become even more fruitful.

Whether you feel inadequate in your walk with God or are longing for deeper impact, this sermon reminds us that true life and lasting fruit come only from staying connected to Jesus. As we head toward Easter, let this be a season of pruning and renewed dependence on the One who laid down His life for us.

Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. (John 15:13)

  • Do Not Let Your Hearts Be Troubled" – Jesus: The Way, The Truth & The Life | John 14
    Mar 22 2026
In this message from John 14, Jesus speaks directly to His fearful disciples on the night before the cross — and to us in our own anxious world.

With wars, rising costs, confusion, and uncertainty all around, Jesus offers these powerful words of comfort:
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.”

He then makes one of the most important statements in the entire Bible:
“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

In this sermon we explore what it really means that Jesus is:
    - The only Way to God and eternal salvation
    - The perfect Truth we can trust in a world of fake news and lies
    - The abundant Life that defeats death and gives us fullness now

Even when a local church closes or the future feels uncertain, Jesus is still King — the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

If you’re feeling troubled, confused, or searching for real hope, this message is for you.

  • You WILL Die... But Jesus Has Already Defeated Death | John 11 Sermon
    Mar 15 2026
"You're going to die." Harsh? Yes. True? Absolutely. With the US-Israel-Iran war escalating, WW3 fears rising, and people queuing for petrol in panic, death feels in the air again—just like during COVID.

We try to cheat it with health hacks or legacies, but nothing works. Jesus however, changes everything. In John 11, He raises Lazarus after four days dead, proclaiming: "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me will live, even though they die."

Death is defeated, not avoided. It becomes a temporary pause for those who trust Christ. Jesus wept with the grieving, raged against sin's curse, then proved His power.

Where will you stand when death knocks? Watch to find real hope that outlasts every crisis.

  • The Good Shepherd
    Mar 8 2026
In February 2021, a ram named Baarack was rescued from the Victorian bush north of Melbourne — blinded and weighed down by over 35kg of matted wool after years alone. Once sheared, he could finally see, move freely, and thrive.

His story mirrors ours before meeting Jesus, the Good Shepherd.

In John 10, Jesus declares, 'I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.' Unlike false leaders who steal and destroy, Jesus knows us intimately, protects us, dies for us, and calls lost sheep from every nation into his fold for life in all its fullness (John 10:10).

Join us as we explore how the man born blind in John 9 discovered true sight — and how Jesus still calls burdened, wandering sheep like you and me today. Do you hear his voice? Come into the fold.

  • Jesus: The Bread of Life That Never Leaves You Hungry
    Feb 22 2026
In this first message of our 2026 Lent “I AM” series, we unpack Jesus’ bold declaration:

“I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” (John 6:35)

We’ve all chased things that promised satisfaction — the perfect meal, the big promotion, success, comfort, even other religions — only to wake up hungry again. Jesus says there’s only one source that truly fills the deepest longings of your soul.

    Through John 6 we discover:
    - Why the crowds followed Jesus for the wrong reasons
    - What it really means to “eat His flesh and drink His blood”
    - How Jesus alone is the bread from heaven that gives eternal life
    - Why no other “bread” (including well-meaning but false religion) can ever satisfy

This Lent, stop snacking on what leaves you empty. Come feast on the Bread of Life.

  • False Life-Givers vs True Lifeguards – A Jude Warning
    Feb 15 2026
In a world full of smooth-talking “life-givers” who tell us God’s boundaries are outdated, how do we stay safe?

Using a vivid Australian beach illustration — red and yellow flags, rips, and a faithful lifeguard named Alex — Pastor Chris unpacks Jude 17-25 and shows us exactly how to contend for the faith once for all entrusted to the saints.

    You’ll discover:
    • How false teachers operate (grumbling, flattering, promising freedom that leads to destruction)
    • Four practical ways to build yourself up and stay in God’s love
    • How to show mercy to doubters, snatch others from the fire, and help the entangled without getting pulled under
    • The glorious truth that God is able to keep you from stumbling and present you faultless with great joy.

  • Don't Turn Grace into a License – Jude's Wake-Up Call
    Feb 8 2026
In this sermon on the short but powerful book of Jude, we explore how God welcomes us into His family by sheer grace—called out of darkness, loved deeply now, and kept securely for eternity (Jude 1:1; "called, loved, kept"). But with this amazing gift comes responsibility: we must not abuse His grace or turn it into a license for immorality and self-rule (Jude 4).

Jude, the brother of James (and half-brother of Jesus), humbly calls himself a "servant" of Christ and urges believers to "contend for the faith once for all entrusted to the saints" (Jude 3). He warns against false teachers who secretly slip in, deny Jesus as Sovereign Lord through their lifestyles—especially in areas of sexual immorality and greed—and face certain judgment.

Yet the message is hopeful: remember who you are in Christ, stand firm against error, call others to the light, and trust God's keeping power until Jesus returns.
