In seminary, I learned that spiritual formation is a lifelong process of becoming more like Christ, shaped through prayer, Scripture, community, and obedience. But long before I knew the term, I experienced its power through Jannie Fuller. Mama Fuller, as we called her, didn’t just teach lessons; she shaped lives. Through encouragement, discipline, and opportunities to serve, she helped plant faith deep within us. Like the potter in Isaiah 64:8, she allowed God to use her hands to mold young hearts with care and purpose. True spiritual formation demands time, trust, and love, and she embodied all three. Today, as we honor her life, we celebrate a vessel who poured into others. Her work lives on in every life she helped shape. Well done, Mama Fuller. I am so thankful that you were a good and faithful servant.
