    Cheryl Amari is an author, bereavement specialist, educator, and hospice volunteer whose work blends professional expertise with personal experience to help people navigate all forms of grief. She is best known for her 2026 book Why I Don’t Wear High Heels When Grieving, a warm, witty, research-informed guide that reframes grief with honesty, humor, and practical tools. We had a wonderful time talking with Cheryl and we learned an awful lot from our discussion.
