  • The End of an Era in L.A.’s Backyard
    May 17 2024

A major announcement came out of L.A.’s backyard this week: the resort that ushered in the Modern Era of Las Vegas will be shutting its doors forever.

The impact that the Mirage had on Las Vegas was like no hotel since the Flamingo opened in 1946 and kicked off The Strip, and it literally changed Vegas as a town, a community, and is single-handedly responsible for turning into a world-class metropolis. Here’s the story of the impact of the Mirage on the city that 4.8 million people from Los Angeles visit each year.

I love LA (history)

I can't get enough of this...LA is such a fascinating town and Evan's passion is infectious. thank you dude, I am a native Southern Californian with a lot of pride for our often overlooked history and huge contributions to worldwide culture. I share your enthusiasm, research and platform for sharing this. You will have your own show someday like a modern Gen X Huel Howser. Thank you again and again...I love LA!

Sensational for L.A. and Beyond - Info and FUN!

Really deep research with a fun approach. Evan addresses important topics in Los Angeles but stays above the fray politically, and discusses the positive aspects of Los Angeles, but without turning a blind eye to some serious realities. Always well-researched with an aim to educate as well as to entertain. EXCELLENT listen.
