If You Lack Wisdom, Ask God

Abundance in every good thing 🙌✨

Our scripture today is James 1:5

“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given to him.”

This verse is powerful because wisdom is not one-size-fits-all 💡

You can be strong in one area of life and deficient in another

Great at work but struggling in relationships

Strong in faith but confused in finances

Doing well physically but overwhelmed emotionally

God is not offended by your lack

He invites you to ask 🙏

We talk about how the Amplified Bible uses the word deficient, and how that word brings urgency. If you were deficient physically, you would take it seriously. Why should it be any different with wisdom?

Wisdom is not just something that falls out of the sky 🌤️

God often gives wisdom through His Word

Through teaching

Through books

Through sermons

Through people He places in your life

Through moments where your heart becomes teachable 📖❤️

Asking God for wisdom also means being willing to seek it

To listen

To learn

To grow

And to stay teachable in every season 🌱

Even the wisest people should always want more wisdom

Great can still become greater

Strong can still become stronger

Healthy can still become healthier

This year, instead of just asking God to fix things, ask Him to teach you

Ask Him to show you where wisdom is missing

And then be ready to receive it in whatever way He chooses ✨
