In this episode, we explore the Feast of Dedication—Hanukkah—through the lens of John 10:22–24, where Jesus walks in Solomon’s Porch during winter and is confronted with the question: “If You are the Christ, tell us plainly.”
We place this moment in its historical and spiritual context by looking back at Judah Maccabee, the warrior-judge raised up by God to deliver Israel from foreign oppression and restore the Temple. His story of courage, victory, and national deliverance sets the backdrop for a deeper revelation: Yeshua the Messiah did not come as a conquering warrior, but as a humble Servant—bringing salvation not from armies, but from sin.
Drawing from Isaiah, Luke, Matthew, and John, we contrast outward deliverance with inward transformation, and ask an essential question: Where is light more valued—outward prosperity or the inner man? Jesus declares Himself the Light of the World, the One who opens blind eyes, frees prisoners from darkness, forgives sins, and brings rest to weary souls.
As Hanukkah celebrates dedication and light, this episode calls us to a fresh dedication to the Lord’s service—allowing the true Light to shine brightly in our lives.
Let this season of dedication be more than remembrance—let it be renewal.
