Thanks Mel for doing what you do for all of us everyday. You are and amazing inspiration and you handled this guest in a SUPERB way, I felt a bit uncomfortable with his delivery and it made it hard to focus on the message for me.

Was a hard one for me

I was not a fan of this guest, the message was great but the delivery was terrible from him. I applaud Mel for advocating for the regular person who can't afford a therapist. Thank you!!!

❤️ Mel as always.

Despite the guest's potential valuable insights, his inability to communicate respectfully overshadowed any meaningful information he had to share. Rather than attentively listening to Mel's questions, he consistently interrupted her with insulting responses, presuming he knew what she was asking. His vitriolic outbursts were completely unwarranted. It begs the question, how can listeners truly appreciate his expertise as a researcher if he fails to engage in active listening during communication? It's highly likely that he doesn't even listen to his research participants if he behaves this way in a simple conversation.

Mel deserves a five-star review for her remarkable ability to handle this incredibly disrespectful guest with grace and poise.

Appalled by the arrogance of the guest

Two major problems with this episode, in no particular order:
1) He’s insufferable. This episode, and the guest, were both cringey and mind blowing to listen to.
2) “World’s leading expert” on procrastination? lol nope. Google “leading experts on procrastination.” Lots of names pop up…but this guy’s name isn’t one of ‘em.

Love ya, Mel…but whoever writes your episode titles and info should be more discerning when using deliberate attention-grabbing phrases like “world’s top/leading expert” and “world-renowned.” Most of the time, those phrases are simply not true, and honestly, they’re so overused in your episode titles at this point, they have lost any real meaning. It’s really okay to just say “expert.” When you add in words like “Harvard trained” or “world renowned” or “#1 expert,” it is over the top, tries too hard, and has icky tabloid headline vibes, all of which cheapen the material therein and lower its credibility.

THIS guy…
