    The first Anglo-Saxon Queens of England before the Norman conquest are shrouded in the mists of history. Their stories read like fairytales and in fact one of them inspired the evil stepmother. The Anglo-Saxon Queen Consorts were: Ælfgifu of Shaftesbury Æthelflæd of Damerham Ælfgifu Ælfthryth of Devon Ælfgifu of York Emma of Normandy Ealdgyth Edith of Wessex Ealdgyth of Mercia The lives of the many Kings and handful of Queens Regnant who have held dominion over the kingdom of England, and later the United Kingdom take center stage in history. But the lives of their spouses and mothers are often relegated to the wings. In this series we will learn the stories of the many Queens Consort and the handful of male consorts who have been at the monarchs’ sides.     On the night of April 14, 1912, 2,224 people faced doom in the middle of the fridge north Atlantic. The luxury liner hailed as unsinkable was about to do just that and disappear beneath the waves. The tragedy has long captured the public imagination with heroic tales of millionaire John Jacob Astor going down with the ship like a gentleman and fictionalized romances about people who weren’t really on board. Today lets met a handful of the real women who were on board that terrible night. We’ll learn more about the famous first class ladies like Madeline Astor and Molly Brown but also met some of the lesser known passengers of second and third class including the only black family aboard. And we’ll meet a crew member who was truly unsinkable. From YouTube to Podcast!

I've looked forward to History Tea Time, Tuesdays on YouTube for years. Now I can bring Lindsay Holiday with me on the road, when I'm creating my art and when I can't quite get to sleep. I love the narrator's (Lindsay's) voice, her sarcastic sense of humor, and unique topics. She packs a lot of info in 30ish minutes, with no extra chitty chat. I highly recommend this podcast!

Good content, not so good presentation

Presentation seems like a long run on sentence. Pause between periods at the end of a sentence please. Hard to listen with out frequent rewinding.

Great stories but…

The stories are interesting but the speaker’s voice inflection at the end of sentences sounds like a news reporter. I can only tolerate it for so long.
