  • Skeleton Park
    May 12 2025
In the heart of Kingston, Ontario lies a place full of mystery – McBurney Park, infamously known as Skeleton Park. Established in the 1890s, this former cemetery conceals the secrets of thousands who found their eternal rest within its grounds. Walking through the park today, it's easy to overlook that old headstones peek through the grass and bones occasionally push through the ground, unwilling to be forgotten. Located on the western tip of Nova Scotia, along the Bay of Fundy is Yarmouth and a structure built in 1865 - The Yarmouth County Jail. It had 19 jail cells with iron beds and straw mattresses where prisoners would sleep with no bed sheets or pillows. It was in use by Nova Scotia Correctional Services until 2004 and was the last place Omar Roberts slept before he was hanged in 1922. He was accused and convicted of a horrific crime and is thought to wander the halls of the prison to this day. • The Cossit House
    Apr 28 2025
Built in 1787, Cossit House is one of the oldest surviving houses in Sydney and possibly, one of the oldest buildings on Cape Breton Island. Named for its original owner, Reverend Ranna Cossit, the house depicts 18th-century life and serves as the cornerstone of the city’s North-end Heritage District. When you visit don't be surprised if you hear the sound of laughing and giggling when you're upstairs alone. Or smell the distinct scent of a pipe in the study. Those are the former owners who still reside within the walls of The Cossit House Support the Show: Donate: buymeacoffee.com/hauntedcanadapodcast Donate: Click Donate to Haunted Canada Podcast Email: hauntedcanadapodcast@gmail.com TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@hauntedcanadapodcast TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@edmontonghosttours YouTube: https://youtube.com/@edmontonghosttours For more information about this podcast please visit us at: http://www.HauntedCanada.com To learn more about the Edmonton Ghost Tours visit us at: http://www.EdmontonGhostTours.com Learn more about your ad choices. Wonderful ghostly podcast

I've only listened to the introduction of this podcast, as it's brand new and that is currently the only episode available, but already this is so much better than many other ghost story podcasts I've tried! The quality is very good, the host doesn't meander around in small talk, and the presentation doesn't resemble a sixth grade book report! I can't really judge the material yet, of course, which is the only reason I gave the content only four stars, but this far I have very high hopes for Haunted Canada! With sound effects and music, good recording quality, interesting subject matter, and an engaging broadcasting style, this promises to be a gem among ghost and true crime podcasts! I look forward to listening to more!

Introductory Episode is Promising!

I was eagerly anticipating this series, because I love ghost stories and these happened not too far from where I live. The storytelling is not too lively, though, and I found myself struggling to get through them. I would, possibly, tune in again for the subject matter, but I’m not sure how soon…

I like that the stories are true, and happened nearby.
