  • Paige Onweller: From P.A. to Podiums
    Apr 3 2026

A former collegiate middle distance runner, Paige had only ever ridden a bike to rehab injuries until that all changed in 2020. A few events on Zwift followed by some TT's and then her first ever mass start gravel event in 2021 was the beginning of a beautiful journey on the podiums at Unbound, Rule of Three, Gravel Nationals, and more. Her big break came after a solo win at Big Sugar a few years back where he meticulous prep and calm confidence proved she is a woman to be feared on the bike.

I sat down with Paige at her home just outside of Bentonville, AK to talk all things gravel. Paige brings a unique perspective to the world of gravel given her long experience as a Physician's Assistant and a relative newcomer to the sport of cycling. We talked Valley of Tears, Mid South, cyclists and GLP-1's, plus a few games and fantasy drafts. Paige brings her scientific way of thinking to every decision on the bike and it was a treat to work through her process on everything from tire selection to race prep.

  • Joe Goettl: Nothing MID about Mid South
    Mar 20 2026

Just 24 hours after a breakout performance at the MID SOUTH where Joe Solo'd to a 10th place finish among a stacked field of serious hitters we sat down on the patio in Stillwater, OK where the spirit of gravel is alive and well to talk about his huge result and way more.

Joe did not hold back in sharing his thoughts on the Friday 1PM start, his bid to get into the Lifetime Grand Prix via the wildcard, Co-host confessions, a game, and of course listener questions from our live audience.

Be sure to support the show while supporting your habit of using only the best equipment from Silca.cc

A very chunky MID SOUTH and I did not bounce a bottle out of their bottle cages and a freshly waxed chain kept me rolling fast. Use "GRAVELTHINGSPODCAST15" at checkout for a tidy little discount.
