  • Humanity Undone | The Gospel | Romans 3:27–31
    Mar 29 2026

What would you put on your spiritual résumé?

In this week's message from The Gospel Series, we open Romans 3:27–31 — a pivotal passage where the apostle Paul answers four questions that strike at the core of human pride, self-reliance, and what it truly means to be justified before God.

The law isn't your enemy — it's a mirror. And when you look honestly into it, your boasting dies and your need for the gospel becomes crystal clear.

This episode includes the full weekend message from Grand Point Church.

  • Paid in Full | The Gospel | Romans 3:21–26
    Mar 24 2026

Two words carry the weight of the entire Gospel: "But now." After weeks in Romans establishing the depth of human sin and the impossibility of self-righteousness, Pastor Lawrence arrives at the hinge point of Paul's letter — Romans 3:21–26 — and unpacks six essential facets of God's righteousness. This episode covers justification, redemption, and atonement with clarity and depth, and explores why the Gospel feels too good to be true — and why you can receive it by faith anyway.

    Show Notes:

    📖 Scripture References:

    • Romans 3:20–26
    • Romans 1:17
    • 2 Corinthians 4:4
    • Romans 5:8
    • Mark 10:45
    • John 19:30
    • Hebrews 11:6

    🔑 Key Concepts Covered:

    • Justification — God's legal declaration of "not guilty," plus the crediting of Christ's righteousness to your account
    • Redemption — Being purchased out of slavery to sin at the price of Christ's blood ("It is finished" = "Paid in full")
    • Atonement — The innocent sacrificed so the guilty can go free
    • Grace — God's Riches At Christ's Expense; favor given to those who deserve condemnation
    • Saving Faith — Knowledge → Conviction → Commitment

    📌 Next Steps:

    • Reflect on the "Then / Now" movement: How has Christ changed your story?
    • Memorize Romans 3:23–24 this week

  • What the Law Can't Do | The Gospel | Romans 3:1–20
    Mar 16 2026

What if the things you've leaned on most in your spiritual life — your church attendance, your Bible knowledge, your Christian heritage — aren't what actually make you right with God?

In this week's message from Romans 3:1–20, we work through one of Paul's most searching passages: a raw, honest description of the human condition. No one is righteous. No one truly understands. No one seeks God on their own. And the Law — for all its value — can only show us how far we fall short.

But Paul doesn't leave us there. Because the same gospel that exposes our condition also offers the only real remedy: a righteousness we didn't earn, given to us through faith in Jesus.

You are not an old creation trying to become new. You are a new creation trying to shed the old.

    📖 Scriptures Covered: Romans 3:1–20, Psalm 14:2–3, John 1:9, John 6:44, Ephesians 2:8

📌 Show Notes & Next Steps:

    • Reflect: Consider which "spiritual advantages" you may have been treating as a substitute for genuine faith. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you the difference.
    • Memorize: Romans 3:20 — "No one will be declared righteous in God's sight by works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin."
    • Pray: Use the closing prayer from this message as your own prayer this week — asking God to help you receive the righteousness that can only come through faith in Christ.
    • Next Step: If you're exploring what it means to have a personal relationship with God, we'd love to connect with you. Visit grandpoint.church to learn more or reach out to our team.
