Episode 3 - The Power of Gratitude

The importance of setting aside time to be intentionally grateful to God for all of the blessings you have!

In this episode, I share about a recent date night where Emily and I spent the evening going through our "Glimmer/Gratitude" Jar. All year long, we would write down blessings on slips of paper and keep them in the jar to go through at the end of the year. I cannot tell you how much this stirred up my faith. I recommend that everyone do something similar!

Where do you turn when bad things happen in your life? Seeking God should be our first response, not our last resort. In 2 Chronicles 20, King Jehoshaphat shows us how to respond to bad news when he immediately seeks God and gathers all of Judah to do the same. In front of the entire nation, he prays a powerful prayer that ends, "we do not know what to do, but our eyes are on You." (2 Chronicles 20:12)
