  • Episode 124 – Glory Days of Gold (Big Dick Energy!)
    Feb 7 2024

We're back with another episode of Glory Days of Gold, the East Fife and Scottish football podcast recorded across two continents. What a week it's been since the last podcast! East Fife put in a poor performance in a 1-0 loss at Elgin City, a display that led to manager Greig McDonald walking away from the job after just over 15 months in charge. 24 hours later his replacement was announced - lower league managerial legend Dick Campbell. Campbell's appointment has filled the Fife fanbase with enthusiasm, excitement, and real hope for the future, buoyed by recent news that the proposed fan takeover of the club has taken a major step forward. Is this the turning point in the club's long and illustrious history that we've waited for and feared may never come? However everything plays out, there's a definite feelgood factor today amongst the black and gold faithful. Michael, Lee, Gordon, and Andrew are back to chat about a dramatic few days down Bayview way.

  • Episode 120 – Glory Days of Gold (Are There Signs Of Life?)
    Dec 18 2023

We're back with another episode of Glory Days of Gold, the East Fife and Scottish football podcast recorded across two continents! A winning run and East Fife have not been happy bedfellows this season. Every time you hope the team may have turned a corner, you find out they're still in a square. But are they starting to finally show signs of life and a turnaround in fortunes could be on the cards? Michael, Lee, and Doug are back to chat about the win over Elgin and the loss to Stenhousemuir. Are we only going to be able to beat teams around or below us and if so, how tough will it be to get fans through the turnstiles next year for a lower third side with little to really play for? Sitting 10 points off the playoffs with 21 games remaining, there's still a lot of time to turn that around, but can Greig McDonald do that and what help will he need in the January transfer window to make that happen? We chat about all of that and say a sad farewell to a couple of East Fife stalwarts who passed away since the last episode. Plus we look at Scotland's draw for next year's Euros in Germany.
