Welcome to Girls Take on Law! We’re Gabrielle and Lauren, Future Trainee Solicitors. We’re two girls who are taking on the legal world, striving for success, overcoming obstacles and having fun in the process! In this podcast no topic is off limits. We’ll be sharing stories, giving advice and inviting guests on, to discuss all things from Undergrad, LPC, Paralegal Life, TC Applications, Assessment Centres, Networking, Rejections and the Social side of being young professionals in Law. In this episode we share our experiences of Assessment Centres, what we did right, and also what we did wrong (learn from our mistakes!). We go into depth about interviews, group tasks, presentations, and written in-tray exercises - we've both had experience of in-person AC's and virtual ones too, so all bases are covered. Finally we touch upon those competitive vibes from certain candidates on the day, how to deal with them, and how not to fall into the trap of being one of them.
