Her name was Florence Sally Horner and she was just an innocent 12 year old that got kidnapped and assaulted by a man in his 50's who had a record of doing things to minors in the past.

There is a book called "The Real Lolita" by author Sarah Weinman which spreads more light on the real story and how the author took this true event and romanticized it into a book that would become one of his best selling and most popular novels.
