In 2009, Michael Bailey and Jeffrey Taylor joined forces to start From Crisis to Crisis: A Superman Podcast. The show (which originally had a five year mission and that...didn't happen) had a simple premise...cover the Superman comics published between Man of Steel #1 in 1986 and Adventures of Superman #649 in 2006. And with many breaks and hiatuses they did that. Now they've gotten to the point where Lois and Clark have gotten married, so for a variety of reasons they are changing the name of the show (but not the numbering...Jeff put his foot down on that) to reflect this new era. So, join Mike and Jeff as they go through the married era of the Post Crisis Superman. From the wedding to Electric Blue! From Superman Rex to Y2K! From President Lex to Ending Battle! From For Tomorrow to Infinite Crisis! From Crisis to Crisis - The Married Years will cover it all!2024 Arte Historia y Crítica Literaria

Welcome to From Crisis to Crisis Classic! Because of the original feed getting lost due to financial considerations I (Michael) decided to start representing them on this feed to give them a new home since people still seem to be finding them.

Note before listening...check out the original release date below if you hear something that sounds kind of off or doesn't align with the social norms of today. Or if the audio quality isn't up to snuff of what you'd hear from this show today. These epsiodes are represented as they were first released. No editing. No George Lucas style revamps. I'm doing this mainly because I want to retain the original feel of the episodes and also because...well, I'm lazy.

    Episode 5 - March 1987

    Original Release Date - June 9, 2009

    Original Show Notes

This week your hosts, Michael Bailey and Jeffrey Taylor, examine the books that came out with the cover date of March 1987 and is the first post-Crisis crossover, both in terms of the books crossing over with each other and in terms of crossing into a major DC event. Superman #3, Adventures of Superman #426 and Action Comics #586 were all chapters of the Legends crossover that DC published in late 1986/early 1987. Jeff and Mike discuss Legends as a mini-series before going into the issues themselves with a little more Legends talk right there at the end. This episode clocks in at about an hour and eighteen minutes, which is a tad longer than normal but the extra space is worth it. At least the guys think so, but what do they know?

    Original Release Date - June 2, 2009

    Original Show Notes

This week your hosts, Jeffrey Taylor and Michael Bailey, examine the books that came out with the cover date of February 1987. The guys spend a good 36 minutes talking about Superman #2, which either means it had a lot going for it or that Mike and Jeff are just chatty. Then there's Adventures of Superman #425, where a supporting character has something of a break down. Finally the guys talk about Action Comics #485, which Jeff and Mike thought was ok but not a book you wanted to take home to meet the parents.

    Original Show Notes

This week your hosts, Michael Bailey and Jeffrey Taylor, examine the books that came out with the cover date of January 1987, the first month of regular Superman comics after Man of Steel. In Superman #1 a certain criminal with a heart of Kryptonite makes his initial Post Crisis appearance while over in Adventures of Superman #424 we get our first look at a certain gossip columnist that has eyes for a mild mannered reporter. Finally there's Action Comics #584, which features Superman running amok in Metropolis with only the Teen Titans to try and stop him.
