As I listen to your podcast, I can’t help to think how fortunate you are to have a new family in Italy! For two reasons I enjoyed listening to you talk about family in this episode. First, it’s nice to not feel alone in a foreign country, or in your own country for that matter. I have often thought part of my freedom to move to Italy is the fact that my family consist of basically my twins and no one else. I have very little ties to America. But at the same time this can be very lonely and I have always wanted an extended family, but never have had the opportunity. Listening to you with your Italian family makes me happy. I wish I could be so blessed to have a family waiting for me some day.
Second, your family is a huge blessing in learning the language. It made me think how being alone, with no one to talk to other then on my daily outings, would make it make learning the language much harder. You on the other hand have been blessed with people surrounding you, patient with you and encouraging you to learn. I certainly have enjoyed listening to each episode! 🥂
