Episode 427: The Brutal Hoia Baciu Forest

Today we travel to Romania where everything is terrifying and awesome. Come on, it's the birthplace of Dracula (Vlad the Impaler) and it's got one of the scariest forests on this planet. The Hoia Baciu forest is a place where the trees bend like a rule, there is a dead zone in the center that might be a portal to hell, it may have been the location of one of the earliest doomed Romanian settlements and a truly macabre slaughter may have taken place there. Need more? Trust us, there is an endless slew of mystery and terror lurking in this place. The locals won't go in there after night falls, will you?

I love the chit chat

I actually love hearing the chit chat in the beginning...it feels like getting caught up with old friends. It's been this way since the beginning, you can fast forward if you don't like it. They're certainly not the only podcast that does this lol.
I find you guys entertaining, as always! The spooky spooks are my favorite!

should have been title my trip to Disney instead.

I would have rather had a mini episode about Disney and this episode actually be about the forest. had gotten half way through before we started on the forest and then went back to Disney. I know more about bell not being at the castle, beast not being human, and the food vs what I wanted to listen to.

Obnoxious

It’s so annoying
to have to listen to 15 minutes of chit chat and commercials before the actual story begins. I love your tales and brief anecdotes in the middle of a story but you have to exercise some control because I’m not getting those minutes back and you stole it with the promise of a true crime story that you replaced with a solid 25 minutes of nonsense during an hour long episode. Come on.

Banter

Leaving a good review to balance to negative nancies. I love the banter in the beginning of the episode. It helps me connect with you two as humans before diving into the story and I appreciate it very much. Don’t change a thing ladies 🖤
