"Strange Bedfellows" is arguably one of the worst "Columbo" episodes that exists, so naturally we were thrilled to talk about it. George Wendt ("NORM!") stars as a race horse breeder who shoots his debt-ridden brother to protect the business. Does this story score a trifecta? Or is this just a case of a "bad actor"? Listen in and find out what Steve and Sean think...also, whatever happened to Tiffany?

I think the reason this episode is meh is because the murderer does not have a fun or at least, interesting repoire with Columbo. He is rude earlier than the typical murderer. Also, Columbo's collusion with the mafia is confusing. You weren't sure about his thugs. If I remember correctly, the two who picked up Columbo were of course the boss's men. But they weren't the same guys as the ones harassing the murderer. They were police officers. This means that police officers were trying to drive him off the road. What if the murderer had ended up dead in a ditch? And the last scenes in the restaurant went on too long. I think this episode is a retelling of the one with Hector Elizondo, at least as far as the "gotcha" moment, where the murderer would rather confess than face having someone else mete out their own "justice."

Great show as usual.
