  • Summary

  • Ripley and the crew aboard the Marion are running out of options to escape certain death. Their orbit is decaying rapidly. With only a few days to decide, they settle on a plan. If they can deal with the alien infestation on board the Samson, their remaining undamaged dropship, they may be able to return to LV-178’s mining installation and retrieve the vital fuel they need to escape on Ripley’s shuttle.

Fun stuff

I enjoyed the stories, they fit in well enough. I liked the Ash/voice synthesizer play.

My Fav

Absolutely love this. I listen over and over again and I always pick up something new. I wonder what happened to Hooper?

What The Next “Alien” Film Should Be

There was NOTHING about this book I didn’t like. The actress that they cast to play Sigourney Weaver was beyond fortuitous. I literally thought it was Sigourney Weaver until I heard the actresses name being spoken as Laura left cow. It was truly unfortunate that they couldn’t get Ian home to come back, but I believe he was deceased already by this point, and complaining about not having Ian Holm yet having Rutger Hauer is like cursing Coke for Pepsi: They’re both awesome. Having it done as a full on audio drama or 1930s radio performance was the absolute best way to experience this book and rather than to continue making films that the fans don’t necessarily want to see (and I don’t necessarily include myself in that group, because I happen to love Prometheus and covenant) but that being said with Disney having bought 20th Century Fox you need a sure thing at the box office and I think out of the shadows being adapted into the next alien film is the closest thing to $150 million opening weekend that we’re going to get for an Alien film.
