Episode 3: David Weidman

David Weidman is the Managing Director of the Missionary Department of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was formerly chairman and CEO of Celanese Corporation, a $6.4 billion global integrated chemical company. Before this appointment, he was vice chairman of the Celanese AG Board of Management and COO of Celanese AG. He joined Celanese AG as CEO of the company’s chemicals business. Before joining Celanese, he was president of Allied Signal’s Performance Polymers business. David earned his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from BYU and his MBA from the University of Michigan. He served as president of the California Los Angeles Mission.
