Episode 2: Edmund Kemper “The Coed Killer” & Chatty Cathy

Oh, Edmund. This guy could have been something great if he had just ignored the part of his psyche that implored him to kill and dismember young women in order to have quality time with them. With an IQ well above average and a penchant for flowery prose, he unfortunately grew up in an environment that nourished violence and hatred for himself and those around him. Buckle up, Edmund is a real nasty character, but he will tell you that himself.

Information with light heartedness

The girls progressed so much but their information is good. But I do love the girls.

annoying sound

Just started from the beginning. I like it but I have to keep adjusting the volume. it gets quiet so I turn it up then your partner talks and it blows my ear drums out. Then you play interviews and once again I have to adjust the volume again. I'm only on episode 2 so hopefully you girls fix this. I'm a truck driver so will be binging this. thank you.

wow... I've heard stories about Ed Kemper...but

not like this before. very well presented and interesting. I actually started looking up more facts and pictures about Ed after the podcast finished. very excited to continue on.

Why

Why is every true crime podcast ran by basic white girls swooning over serial killers. Goddamnit.

Good story, but...

The hosts need to make sure they have the microphones set at a similar distance. Ash is super close to her mic, so she is loud where the other host is set back from her mic making it difficult to hear her so you turn the volume up and then when Ash comes back on you have to turn it back down again. The story itself was well done, tons of research done, just the execution of narration needs to be tweaked a bit.

Volume issues

This story is pretty good. Still too much off topic nonsense, but what's worse is the volume issues . The main story teller and audio files are so low you have to turn up the sound and then Ash speaks and about busts my eardrums. I have listened to later stories and it does get better, but these first few are rough!

will not continue

I couldn't even make it through the second episode. The stories and info are interesting and entertaining but I don't care for the speakers. I find them kind of annoying. Their volumes are all off, and they always cut each other off and it's hard to hear what they're saying.

Won’t listen to them again

Thought it might be interesting since I grew up in Santa Cruz when Kemper, Mullins and Frazier were active. The two female narrators sounded like Beavus and Butthead with their giggling and inappropriate attempts at humor. They did have the facts but the juvenile delivery was very off putting.

Please fix your audio

One of you are very very loud and the other one is barely audible. Great story terrible audio.
