It has been six years since we’ve been able to do the Summer Movie Game due to COVID and the writer’s strike that followed but it’s back baby! Hollywood has finally started cranking out enough movies we can have a big enough field to choose from and we’re taking advantage of it. So before you head over to the site and make your picks, check out this month’s episode where we discuss which movies should be in your top 10, possibly make your dark horse list, or don’t have a snowball’s chance in hell as this summer heats up at the theaters.

There are some movies that should never be remade because they are classics, or they are too much of their time, or one of several other reasons. So of course this month we’re going to remake them. But not just remake them, ruin them on purpose using some of the worst tropes used in movies today. Imagine Jaws but it now begins with seeing the shark being hurt by humans or seeing it’s mother killed in front of it. Because even the murderous shark needs a backstory.

If you were a child of the 70’s, 80’s or 90’s, you probably heard, “I’m sure you will grow out of it, “ about sevral things. Toys, Lego, comics, and especially video games. And while we may not dabble in some of those other hobbies still, video games is something a lot of of never put down. But that’s not to say our relationship hasn’t changed with them.
