*After 144 magical episodes, we decided to change our name to better show that we stand with the trans community. We are unable to change our name within those episodes, but will be using For Fawkes’ Sake starting at episode 145 and going forward! New name, same magical Harry Potter compare and contrast!*

While we love Harry Potter, we do not condone or agree with its creator’s ignorant opinions. We stand with the trans community.

Join Ellen and Keighty as we discuss Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, covering Chapter Seventeen (The Four Champions) and the corresponding film scenes. Forgive Keighty for the third return of her "sexy voice" and enjoy as we discuss the most hated word in the fandom: DIDYOUPUTYOURNAMEINTHEGOBLETOFFIYAHHHHHHHH!

We post weekly podcast episodes comparing and contrasting the Harry Potter books to the movies, Potter Ponderings, a weekly trivia question (that can win you a sticker!), Sorting Hat Stories, and other Harry Potter related fun! This was probably everyone's least favorite film scene out of all the other film scenes combined. Watching Dumbledore nearly attack Harry was painfully awkward and frustrating. Didn't fit his character at all. Yes, I would have believed Harry because I would have trusted Dumbledore's age line. I don't think I ever considered before that the Hogwarts Champion might have needed to take the NEWTs that year, which is exactly why I love listening to this podcast. Since this wasn't specifically addressed in the book, I'm thinking it was an oversight or something the author simply wanted to leave ambiguous/she wrote Cedric as a 6th year, maybe to avoid that issue. I do not think the Hogwarts Champion would have to take the NEWTs. The Triwizard Tournament happens so rarely that they probably figured they could make an exception for the one Hogwarts champion. Overall, obviously, I preferred the book scene over the movie scene. When my boyfriend was watching the 4th movie for the first time he didn't understand why Ron was mad and he thought Ron was being really stupid, which yeah, but I had to explain that in the book they all talked and fantasized a lot about entering and how cool it would be, so that was why Ron had felt betrayed, that Harry had figured out how to enter and he didn't include Ron. Plus Ron was constantly being overshadowed by his older siblings and his best friend's fame, so this was sort of just the tipping point for him.

My least favorite film scene...
