  • Summary

  • [Contains Mature Themes] A body is found at the end of a path leading to three houses. The police, known in Ireland as “the Guards,” have little experience with serious crime in West Cork, and the victim - a French woman with a holiday home in the area - is a mysterious figure to locals. That night, as news of the murder makes its way through the community, everyone begins to question if they were ever truly safe.

Great production work

The story, production and narration are excellent. I love the pacing as well. This has been an easy listening experience. I'm looking forward to finding more true crime podcasts like this one.

West Cork. WOW.

This is an incredible listen. So very well done. I’ve listened more than fifty times. The English, Irish, French etc accents are so interesting. I was actually very conflicted the first ten or so times I listened. I’ve now read the three other books about this incident. It’s a fascinating look at the different injustice systems in the world. Jennifer and Sam are wonderful interviewers and story tellers
