She married to a British Nigerian citizen whom she met in the states when they were both studying their Phd's. She moved to the UK in 2016 with their two children one is 13 and and 10 years old and they now live in Oxfordshire, Tara Olowoye. Tara knew right before that she would one day live outside America in fact when she met her husband they've already talked about moving to the U.K. but it kept pushing back until 2016 came when they felt it was time to finally move. Tara has worked with refugee women when she was in the states and was involved in various research programs such as a qualitative analysis of the after school program in Georgia and on gun violence for a non profit organization.
