Welcome to the Dome Dawg Podcast, I’m your host Matt DeBritz! The Dome Dawg concept started in a Syracuse suburb, by listening intently to WSYR, clipping The Post-Standard articles, and a tape recorder. In 1987 my parents let me stay up late to watch Cuse in the Championship and when I see the name ”Keith Smart” the cringe comes in no less than:04! I Saw DC, Sherm, and Billy Owens frustrate and kick out John Thompson, CJ Fair’s facial on Otto Porter, and Billy Edelin’s great facilitation in Boston on the way to the Final Four. 21 years spent at ESPN, now I’m combining my content skills with the one job I’ve been doing my whole life, which is almost as long as Boeheim’s been the coach. Thanks for listening/watching!Copyright 2021 All rights reserved. Baloncesto

  • Autry’s Seat Isn’t Hot Syracuse’s Real Issue Dome Dawg Podcast Ep.114
    Dec 17 2025

Everyone’s asking how hot Adrian Autry’s seat is after the Hofstra loss.

    Short answer: it’s not.

Longer answer: effort isn’t the issue — Syracuse has to lean into pressure and pace instead of buzzwords.

  • Syracuse Basketball Can't Shoot and Can't Lose to Tennessee: Dome Dawg Podcast Ep. 113
    Dec 2 2025

Syracuse hoops is at a crossroads, and Adrian Autry is right in the middle of it. I’ve tried a few different ways to break this down, but here’s the truth: this team might end up as one of the worst free-throw and three-point shooting squads in program history… and still has the talent, speed, and athleticism to be good.

But none of that matters if Autry doesn’t treat the Tennessee matchup like the national championship game. Syracuse has no other quality non-conference opportunities coming. If they don’t win this one, the road to the NCAA Tournament shrinks fast.

Autry said he challenged his players from the moment they woke up to the moment they went to sleep. That’s great—but if it doesn’t translate on the floor, it means nothing. This game needs to be the challenge. Full pressure. Full urgency. Play for broke.

Because if Syracuse doesn’t win this one? Tournament hopes fade… and Autry’s job security goes right with them. Fans want results. Period.

    Let’s talk about it.
