  • 59 - Why Experts Struggle to Explain and Sell Their Services—and How to Package Your Expertise
    Feb 20 2026

In this Digital Rapport® Podcast episode, I explore why so many brilliant experts—especially heart-centred coaches and consultants—struggle to clearly explain and sell what they do online. It’s rarely a confidence issue. More often, it’s because no one has shown them how to properly structure and package their expertise into a clear, compelling offer.

Having deep expertise can actually make it harder to break work down into simple, teachable steps. When something feels natural and intuitive, it can be surprisingly difficult to articulate the process. Many coaches also default to hourly pricing because it’s familiar from the workplace. Unfortunately, that often leads to undercharging, burnout, and a lack of clarity around the true value being delivered.

This episode outlines why valuing yourself properly is essential. It covers how to create packaged offers and build a value ladder—from self-study options through to higher-tier one-to-one services. It also explains how to map a client’s transformational journey into a signature system or methodology, including my Digital SIMAC method (in both nine-step and twelve-step versions). Success comes from having the right steps in the right order—not from a random or ad hoc setup.

Listeners are encouraged to start with clarity: What specific problem is being solved? Who exactly is it for? How is the solution different? From there, the focus shifts to building a sustainable revenue model with well-priced packages—typically starting at a minimum of £1,500, with higher tiers depending on value and positioning.

The invitation at the end is simple: pause and reflect. Consider raising your prices—even doubling an hourly rate. Work backwards from a desired monthly income goal and reframe any limiting beliefs about whether the work can truly be packaged. And for those who want guidance, I’m always open to connecting.

Exploring AI and Emotional Intelligence: My Digital Rapport Podcast Episode

In this episode of the Digital Rapport® podcast, I share my experience of interviewing a bot and compare that early experiment to what’s now possible with Digital Rapport® AI. My journey highlights just how far AI has evolved and why emotional intelligence remains distinctly human.

I explore EQ as a uniquely human trait that AI cannot fully replicate. While AI continues to advance in speed, data analysis, and content generation, it still operates within patterns and programmed frameworks. It does not truly feel, understand context the way humans do, or exercise moral judgment grounded in lived experience.

Throughout the episode, I discuss the limitations of AI and the ethical dimensions surrounding its development. In leadership and professional environments especially, intuition and empathy are not optional skills — they are essential. These are qualities that shape trust, influence culture, and guide responsible decision-making.

The episode culminates in a live demonstration: I allow the AI to interview me and generate an article based on my insights. Watching it co-create content in real time reinforces my belief that the most powerful future is one of collaboration. AI enhances efficiency, but human connection preserves meaning.

Ultimately, I see AI not as a replacement for emotional intelligence, but as a tool that can elevate it — when guided by conscious, emotionally intelligent leadership.
