    In January 2018, 25-year-old Trish Haynes returned to New Hampshire for a court date. She planned to stay just a few months and then head back to Florida, where her grandparents were waiting for her.

    But that return trip never happened.

    After moving in with an old classmate and her husband - Ashley and Doug Smith - Trish’s contact with her family dropped off. And by July, she was officially reported missing.

    Weeks later, investigators found her jawbone inside a washer that had been dumped in a nearby pond.

    To this day, no one has been arrested. And Trish’s family is still waiting for justice.

    Trish Haynes was last heard from on May 16, 2018, during a brief phone call with her grandmother. She was staying with Ashley and Doug Smith at their rental property in Grafton, New Hampshire.

    In late August, police searched the Smiths’ home. A second search led them to Grant Pond, less than a mile away, where investigators recovered a washer containing Trish’s jawbone. The rest of her remains have never been located.

    On March 21, 1998, 23-year-old Amy Bradley boarded a Royal Caribbean cruise with her parents and younger brother. It was supposed to be a fun family vacation. But just three days later, Amy vanished from the ship without a trace.

    She was last seen in the early morning hours of March 24 on the balcony of their cabin. Thirty minutes later, she was gone.

    The ship was searched. So was the water. But there was no sign of Amy anywhere.

    Over the years, multiple sightings have been reported across the Caribbean and beyond, leaving her family to wonder if Amy is still out there somewhere, waiting to be found.

    23-year-old Amy Lynn Bradley was last seen by her father around 5:30 a.m. on March 24, 1998, sleeping on the balcony of their cabin aboard the Rhapsody of the Seas. By 6:00 a.m., she was gone.

    Three witnesses later reported seeing Amy with Alister Douglas, also known as “Yellow,” just before 6:00 a.m., taking an elevator to the ship’s disco. He was later seen leaving alone.

    There were no other sightings of Amy onboard. But over the years, multiple people have reported seeing her in Curaçao, Puerto Rico, Barbados, and even San Francisco. Amy is still missing.

    On the night of July 27, 2021, 40-year-old Katie Janness left her Midtown Atlanta apartment for a walk with her dog, Bowie. At around 11:30 p.m., she stopped by the restaurant where her partner was working. They spoke briefly, and Katie said she was heading home after finishing the walk.
    But less than two hours later, she was found brutally murdered inside Piedmont Park, near the 10th Street entrance. She had been stabbed more than 50 times, mutilated, and left with letters carved into her body. There were no witnesses. No surveillance footage. And no clear motive.
    Four years later, Katie’s case is still unsolved. And the question remains: who would do something like this and why?

    Alicia Fox was last seen on May 24, 2014 in Detroit. She was later found shot multiple times in the basement of an abandoned home.

    Alicia’s children—six-year-old Kaylah Hunter and eight-month-old Kristian Justice—were last seen alive on May 26 by Erin’s friend, Timothy Jones, at the family home on Ardmore Street. At the time, Erin had been seen driving a U-Haul and a 2004 burgundy Chevrolet Impala.

    Today, if they are still out there, Kaylah would be 17 years old and Kristian would be 11.

    When Kaylah went missing, she was six years old, 4 feet 5 inches tall, and 65 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Kristian was eight months old, between 22 and 26 inches tall, weighing between 17 and 20 pounds. He had black curly hair and brown eyes.

    On the night of October 11, 2001, federal prosecutor Thomas Wales was working in the basement of his Seattle home when someone walked up to his window and opened fire. Tom was struck multiple times, and later died at the hospital.

    At first, it wasn’t clear if the motive was personal or something connected to his work. While Tom was well-liked, he had prosecuted dozens of white-collar criminals, was active in gun control reform, and had potentially made enemies in both spaces.

    Investigators eventually zeroed in on one man who seemed to have a grudge with Tom for multiple reasons. But despite one of the most extensive investigations in FBI history, no one has ever been charged with Tom’s murder.

    Federal prosecutor Thomas Wales was shot through the window of his Seattle home, located in the 100 block of Hayes Street, while working in his basement at around 10:40 p.m. on October 11, 2001.

    On the night of February 9, 2025, 18-year-old Megan Trussell was last seen leaving her dorm at the University of Colorado Boulder. Six days later, her body was found miles away—down a steep embankment in Boulder Canyon. She had scrapes, bruises, and contusions across her body and head. Her teeth were broken, and her phone, purse, and one of her shoes were missing.

    Weeks later, her phone turned up at an ecoATM—it had been sold by a stranger. Her purse was found miles away, torn at the clasp. Her other shoe has never been found. Despite all of this, authorities ruled that no foul play was involved.

    Megan’s family doesn’t agree. They believe a thorough investigation was never conducted—and that there are still too many unanswered questions. Their fight continues to find out what really happened to Megan.

    On the morning of November 8, 2001, 53-year-old Donna O’Steen was found murdered inside her home in Seattle. She had been bound with duct tape and stabbed multiple times. There were signs of a robbery—but it wasn’t clear if that was the real motive. There were no signs of forced entry, only a few random items were missing, and the killer had brought their own knife and duct tape.

    That raised a troubling question: had someone wanted Donna dead? But her family and friends couldn’t think of a single person who would want to hurt her. She had no enemies, no history of conflict, and no known threats.

    More than two decades later, her murder remains unsolved. And her family is still asking the same question: who would want Donna dead?

    Donna O’Steen was found murdered in her home in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle on the morning of November 8, 2001. She had been bound with duct tape and stabbed multiple times. There were signs of a ransacked bedroom, but only a few seemingly random items were taken. Despite sketches of two persons of interest and ongoing efforts by her family, Donna’s killer has never been identified.

    On the night of December 15, 1996, 12-year-old Celina Mays went to bed in her family home in Willingboro, New Jersey.

    By morning, she was gone.

    As police began investigating, they learned that when she disappeared, Celina was nine months pregnant and just days away from giving birth. They also learned that her family belonged to a controversial religious group led by her aunt—one that former members have described as a cult. This dynamic, along with reports that the aunt’s son had molested underage girls in the church, complicated the case.

    Twenty-nine years later, Celina has never been found, and detectives are still working to untangle what happened inside the church and to Celina and her unborn baby. And despite everything, they haven’t given up hope that she may still be alive.

    Celina Mays was last seen sometime overnight between December 15 and 16, 1996, at her home on Crestview Drive in Willingboro, New Jersey. She was 12 years old and nine months pregnant at the time. She was around 5 feet tall, weighing 120 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
