God declares that he will not answer those who consult these prophets and idols, and He emphasizes the individual responsibility for sin, stating that even if a land were righteous, each person would be judged separately for their own actions. In Hebrews 8, the writer discusses Jesus as our high priest, who serves in the true heavenly tabernacle set up by the Lord. This chapter also highlights a new covenant God makes with His people, promising to write His laws in their hearts and minds, which is contrasted with the old covenant that was not faultless.
