  • Abraham - Against All Odds (Daily Devotional)
    Nov 3 2025
Hi everyone, welcome. We're studying the life of Abraham and we are gleaning insights for us to walk in from the life of Abraham. We have seen that God had a call for him and Abraham responded in obedience and faith. Today, we will continue to consider how Abraham stood strong amidst all odds. Let us begin by reading Genesis chapter 15, verse 6, ‘And he believed in the Lord, and He accounted it to him for righteousness.’ This is the work that God wants us to do which is believe - have faith. The faith of Abrham, the belief of Abraham, the believing in the word of God was counted to Abraham as righteousness. Today, this is what we are called to do- to believe the word of God and the instruction that God has for us. Let’s go ahead. Abraham was called as the father of faith; we see this in Romans chapter 4. He was called so because he believed and he believed in such a way that it left behind an example for each one of us. The bible tells us that he was well ahead in years, he was 75 when he heard the call of God and the promise of God for him but at that time, the scriptures also tell us in Hebrews chapter 11, verse 12 that his body was physically as good as dead. That is a figure of speech that talks about the difficulty or inability for Abraham and Sarah to bear descendants. The scripture doesn’t stop there but goes on to say that ‘from Abraham whose body was as good as dead were born as many descendants as the stars of the heaven in number and innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore.’ God did the impossible. God did the incredible in Abraham’s situation. Had he looked only at his circumstances, had he given full attention to his circumstances, looked at the facts and believed the facts, his faith wouldn’t be what we would be talking about today but we see that Abraham didn’t deny the facts but had faith which is greater than the facts. Though his body was as good as dead, the bible says that he became the father of many descendants. The same thing is true even for Sarah. In fact, Hebrews chapter 11 tells us that by faith, Sarah conceived at a time in her life’s journey when she shouldn’t have conceived but God did a miracle. Against all odds, our God can work, against all odds according to His word and His purposes. So, today, friends, I just want to encourage us, no matter what our circumstances are telling us, no matter what the facts around us are telling us, no matter what the reports are telling us, let us align our faith to the word of God. We have seen in the lives of Abraham and Sarah that our God is a miracle working God. Their limitations were not God’s limitations. So, today if God has promised something to us, we can be assured that He is fully able to do it for us. Let us be strong and let us continue strong in faith just like the father of our faith Abraham. Let us pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you that you are with us in every situation. Even when circumstances are so adverse, we choose to hold fast to your word. We thank you that even if heaven and earth pass away; your word will never pass away. We thank you that you have given us your word and we are people who can stand strong upon your word. We praise, worship and honor you, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen. Thank you for tuning in to Living Supernaturally, for more resources to strengthen your spiritual walk, please visit apcwo.org. • Blessings in the Everyday - The Blessing of Salvation (Daily Devotional)
    Oct 31 2025
Shalom and thank you for joining us for our last episode in this series of blessings in the everyday. We trust that this has been a blessing for you and you have been able to reflect on these everyday blessings. Today, we are going to look at one of the greatest blessings each of us have received as believers- the blessing of salvation. Almost everything comes by effort. Hard work earns a salary, good behavior earns a good name and achievements bring about recognition. But here in this verse today as we are going to read, Paul reminds us that our salvation is not earned but was freely given. Ephesians chapter 2, verses 8 to 9, ‘For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.’ Our salvation is the gift of God to each one of us. It is the gift of grace. We cannot pay for it, cannot perform for it or even prove ourselves worthy of it. If we could, we would probably boast about what we did but God removes all boasting so that salvation points us only to His goodness. The word ‘grace’ means God’s unmerited favor or kindness towards us. Grace is there when we are helpless, when we are broken and lost. We did not find God; He came looking for us in Christ. So, our salvation is not about our religious performance but it is about the grace and the mercy of our God. It is the greatest blessing because it secures us to eternity and gives each one of us a new identity as His children. While salvation is a gift from God, it is received through faith. Faith is trusting in Jesus, in who He is and what He has done for us on the cross. Faith is like opening our hands to receive what God has already provided for us. It is not about how strong our faith is but about how strong the one we trust in is. This blessing of salvation is not just about going to heaven one day but it transforms our life in the here and now. Because of salvation, you and I are forgiven because there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus. Because of His salvation, we are adopted into His family as His children. Because of His salvation, we are secure in His love. Because of His salvation, each of us are empowered to live victorious lives. Salvation blesses us with peace, with freedom from guilt and even the joy of knowing that we are loved unconditionally. So, how grateful and thankful should we be for this gift of salvation? We could never earn it because we do not deserve it. May we live each day in gratitude, walking in the freedom knowing that we are saved and we are His children. Let’s thank God together, Heavenly Father, we thank you for the gift of salvation. We thank you that you came after us. We thank you that you did not want any one of us to perish but that we would have eternal life. We thank you for what you have done on the cross and for all that you have done for us today and the provision we have in you. May we live lives that are grateful and may we bring about the truth of this blessing and this gift of salvation to others as well. Thank you for all that you have done for us. We are truly grateful and indebted, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen. Thank you for tuning in to Living Supernaturally, for more resources to strengthen your spiritual walk, please visit apcwo.org. • Blessings in the Everyday - The Blessing of Strength (Daily Devotional)
    Oct 30 2025
Shalom and thank you once again for joining in here with us for the Living Supernaturally, where we are looking through a series of blessings in the everyday. We hope that we have been able to slow down, pause and reflect on all the blessings that we enjoy in our everyday. Today, we are going to touch upon the blessing of strength. Very often, when things in our lives go wrong, it drains us physically, emotionally and sometimes even spiritually. No matter how strong we think we are, there are seasons where we may feel worn out, burdened and we are just simply tired of the struggle. Isaiah reminds us of a powerful truth of where our true source of strength is, which is not found in ourselves but in the Lord. Isaiah chapter 40, verse 31 reads, ‘but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint.’ Isaiah chapter 40 was written to people who felt powerless and exhausted. They were in their time of exile in Babylon; they were far from home and struggling to hold on to hope. Like them, we also face moments in our lives when things may be overwhelming. When responsibilities, when trials and discouragements can drain us of our strength. God through Isaiah is reminding us that He never grows tired and because of that, He is able to strengthen us when we are weary. The blessing of strength is promised to those who wait upon the Lord. This waiting is not passive but it is active where you are trusting, hoping and leaning on God in prayer and in faith. When we wait on Him, He renews our strength. It is like receiving a fresh supply that lifts us higher than we could ever go on our own. Think of a phone battery, if we keep running it on our own, we eventually run out. Waiting on God is like plugging into the source. He recharges us with strength that is not our own. Isaiah gives three vivid pictures of how God’s strength works. He says, we soar like eagles. Sometimes, God lifts us above those challenges, like eagles who use the wind to rise higher, God gives us that heavenly view over our challenges. Another picture it says is running and not growing weary. At other times, life requires us to be patient ad to endure in the long race and God provides us this perseverance so we don’t quit halfway. And the last picture is walking and not fainting. Most of our lives are lived in the daily walk. It is not dramatic but steady faithfulness matters. God gives us that quiet strength to keep going when things become routine. All of this shows us that God’s strength isn’t just for the extraordinary but in the ordinary things for life. So, even as we reflect on this, we can gain courage to face uncertain tomorrow’s because He is the one who strengthens us. We also discover the joy of relying on God instead of carrying everything ourselves. Remember strength is not the absence of weakness but the presence of God in the midst of our weakness. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you that you are there upholding us at times when we are weary. Our strength comes from you and from knowing that you will sustain us through. Help us to rely on you at all times even when life may seem uncertain and overwhelming, we know that your strength is sure to lift us up. Thank you for this assurance, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen. • Blessings in the Everyday - The Blessing of Guidance (Daily Devotional)
    Oct 29 2025
Shalom and thank you once again for coming in and being with us as we look into God’ word. We trust that you have been encouraged and are equipped everyday as you listen in and pray alongside with us. We have been looking in this series about the blessings in the everyday, blessings that go unnoticed. Today, we are looking at the blessing of guidance. Our lives are full of times when we need to make decisions. Some of these decisions may be small or life changing and we find ourselves wondering where do we go or what choice should we make or how we could move forward. If it was left to ourselves, it is really easy for us to get lost, very confusing and extremely overwhelming, but a beautiful blessing God gives His children is His guidance. He doesn’t lead us to figure things our alone but instead He promises to direct our paths when we trust in Him. Proverbs chapter 3, verses 5 and 6 reads, ‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.’ This verse says, ‘trust in the Lord’, meaning when we wholeheartedly depend on God, we are guided in His wisdom, in His plan and in His timing. Guidance begins with trust, not partial trust or conditional trust but that wholehearted trust in God. Our human understanding is very limited. We see only part of the picture but God sees the entire story, He sees it from the beginning till the end. When we lean in to our own reasoning, it can lead to confusion and mishaps but leaning on God brings clarity and it brings direction. It shows us where our dependence needs to be - on God and not on our small and limited understanding. God’s guidance requires surrender. When we invite Him into every decision, however small it may be, we are acknowledging His authority over our lives. So, when we trust Him, lean on Him and submit to Him, He faithfully directs and makes our paths straight. Straight paths don’t mean easy paths but the right ones, those that are aligned in His will and filled with His purpose. The blessing of guidance is knowing that we don’t have to navigate life alone. God doesn’t make us wander in confusion, He leads us step by step and this guidance can come through His word, through wise counsel and very often, through the Spirit of God nudging our hearts. When we are yielded to Him, His guidance is assured and sure. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we look to you for guidance and wisdom in the decisions we have to make. We thank you that you are always there. Spirit of God, we thank you that you are present within us, leading us and showing us the way forward so that we do not stumble. May we have ears and eyes that look to you for that guidance and may we follow you in obedience. We pray that you will help us through this journey, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen. • Blessings in the Everyday - Blessing of Peace (Daily Devotional)
    Oct 28 2025
Shalom and welcome to this time where we look into God’ word and take some time to pray. We hope and trust that you are blessed by these devotionals. Through this entire series, we have been looking and touching upon the blessings in our everyday. One of the things we are going to look at today is the blessing of peace. Peace again is one of the most precious blessings of God. In a world where there is so much of chaos and noise, there is conflict, uncertainty and true peace every often feels out of range. Many try to find it in their possessions, maybe in their success or even their temporary escapes but they are all just temporary gains. The peace Jesus gives us is different. It is not the absence of problems but the assurance of His presence in the midst of anything we maybe going through. It is the stillness of the heart that comes from knowing that He is in control no matter what storms may assail us. Jesus reminds us in John chapter 14, verse 27, ‘Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.’ Jesus calls this peace ‘my peace’ which means it is a gift that He freely gives those who follow Him. He spoke these words to His disciples just before His crucifixion knowing that they would face fear, confusion and even persecution, He gave them this lasting gift- His peace. Unlike fleeting calm or temporary relief, the peace of God is a deep assurance that comes from His presence. Jesus says, I do not give to you as the world gives. The world’s idea of peace is usually the absence of conflict or the presence of comfort. But Jesus offers something much deeper, peace that remains even in the middle of storms. His peace is not dependent on our circumstances but is in His victory and in His promises. The verse says, ‘do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.’ With this peace, He gives us an invitation to courage. Jesus doesn’t deny that we will face trouble, but He equips us to stand unshaken. Fear doesn’t have to control us when the peace of Christ reigns within us. The blessing of peace is not about our lives being easy but about having the daily presence of God with us. This peace guards our heart when anxiety knocks and strengthens us when fear may come up and it keeps us steady when issues of life may remain uncertain. Peace is not something we have to chase; it is something we receive when we trust Jesus. His peace fills the gap that worry leaves behind and reminds us that He is always in control. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you for the peace that you give, the peace that comes from you, peace the world cannot give. Even as we live this life, we pray that we receive what you have for us and that our hearts will be strong to look to you knowing that you are in control no matter where our lives may take us. We pray that you will center us in your peace, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
