In this Daily Devotion with Pastor Balla for March 14, 2026, we reflect on Psalm 50:21–23 (ESV), “These Things You Have Done and I Have Been Silent.” This Christian devotion explores God’s patience, the danger of forgetting God, and the call to repentance and thanksgiving. Scripture reminds us that God’s silence should never be mistaken for approval. His patience is meant to lead sinners to repentance, not to encourage complacency.
This Lutheran devotion highlights the clear distinction between Law and Gospel. God’s Word exposes sin and calls us to mark His warning seriously. Yet the psalm ends with hope: those who offer thanksgiving and trust in the Lord will see the salvation of God. That salvation is fulfilled in Jesus Christ, who bore the judgment we deserved and secured forgiveness through His cross and resurrection.
If you are searching for a daily Bible devotion, Psalm 50 Bible study, LCMS teaching, or Christ-centered encouragement, this message will strengthen your faith.
