It's no secret that I've had a love/hate/obsessional relationship with Mortification over the years, however no matter the ups and downs they have remained one of my all time favorite bands since I was in highschool. Living Sacrifice has had one of the largest impacts on Christian Metal out of any band that I can think of. Originating in the late 1980's and early 1990's Living Sacrifice released a trilogy of albums that explored the extremity of Thrash and Death Metal and they would go on to influence countless bands as well as set the band up to transition into one of the most popular metalcore bands in the Christian music scene as well as metal at large. If the first album you've ever heard from the band is Reborn. You might be curious to hear what the band was up to before that.

I've been a fan of Christian Metal for well over 20 years, and while I would still consider myself a strong supporter of the scene, over the years there have been certain frustrations and disappointments that have come along with it.
