It finally happened! Together with my friends Juri and Fabian from #DeFiTimes, I got the chance to learn everything about #Akash Network, the #AKT token and their mission to decentralize the #Cloud computing industry. Therefore, I'm extremely excited to have met Greg Osuri - founder of Akash Network. Akash is a decentralized cloud platform that is built on the #Cosmos SDK and is also one of the first projects to implement IBC - Cosmos' inter blockchain communication protocol. Today, I'm excited to host Federico Kunze Küllmer. He is an early Cosmos contributor and developer of the IBC protocol (Inter Blockchain Communication) - which was released in February of 2021. Federico is extremely knowledgable and experienced when it comes to bridging models, such as the Gravity Bridge, IBC itself or other models that we have seen on projects like Polygon, Avalanche or the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) for instance. I learned a lot during our conversation about the design architecture of Ethermint, a project that originally kicked off in 2016 and is now being realized after a successful governance proposal to fund development from the ATOM community reserves.

Hello #Bluefrens . Today, I'm excited to have on Dan and Adrianna from Exidio - the development arm behind Sentinel Network. In our 45 min conversation, I learned a lot about the VPN industry and its challenges as well as Sentinel's value proposition as a P2P bandwidth market place for everyone. Sentinel is also one of the first IBC enabled Cosmos blockchains that just finished the full migration over from the Ethereum network. Also, we discuss in depth the tokenomics of the #DVPN token, its utility and circulating economy.

Today I have another Cosmos OG on the channel: Zaki Manian. Zaki graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2005 where he studied history and finance. He then taught himself software engineering, programming and computer science. From 2008-2013 he was the tech lead at ReaMetrix and then started an enterprise blockchain company called SKU Chain in 2014. He started to contribute more to Bitcoin, Ethereum or ZCash and taught himself cryptography. In 2017, he then discovered Cosmos and helped launch testnets as well as the validator network on the Cosmos Hub which was launched in 2019. He also significantly contributed to IBC, the interblockchain communication protocol.

With the launch of Osmosis, Gravity DEX, Emeris and Co., the Cosmos DeFi ecosystem is coming to live. In that context, IBC traffic is also growing exponentially as more chains connect to it. Terra (LUNA) and Thorchain (RUNE) are currently in the process of implementing IBC which will drive a lot of value for the entire Cosmos ecosystem. That said, there is also a bunch of other projects that are about to launch their Cosmos-based chain and adopt IBC to become compatible with Keplr, Osmosis, Emeris and so on. WIth the launch, many projects have also announced to give away genesis coins for free to the community in form of an Airdrop or Stakedrop. That's something more and more common especially with the success of Uniswap's UNI token or 1INCH's two big airdrops to loyal users. In this video, I go through 10 projects that have already confirmed to do an airdrop/stakedrop for ATOM.

Excited to host Ethan Buchman, Co-founder of the Cosmos network and ATOM coin here on my channel. Cosmos is an interoperability project that aims to connect all blockchains. Its a network of sovereign, individual chains that are compatible and able to talk to each other. The vision of a multi-chain future with eventually millions of interconnected chains that enable seamless transaction of value and information resonates a lot with me. Therefore I am thrilled to be talking to Ethan and learn everything about the origin story of Cosmos, how it all came together, Tendermint, proof-of-stake algorithms and much more. We also dive into how Ethan met Jae Kwon and how the project then evolved into a giant ecosystem of sovereign networks, as envisioned during the earliest days in 2013/14. We also cover the utility aspect for the native Cosmos coin ATOM, ecosystem projects like Osmosis, Regen Network, differences to Polkadot and also exciting upgrades on the Cosmos Hub, that drives more utility for the ATOM coin.
