So while the city is still reeling from the Lions loss last night its not ALL bad Detroit...Right?

    On the 18th Anniversary of Kobe Bryant scoring 81 pts, Joel Embiid and Karl-Anthony Towns both set franchise records for points in a game. The reigning MVP put up 70 pts to pass Wilt Chamberlain as the Sixers franchise single-game scoring leader. Philly was all smiles around Embiid's accomplishment. In Minnesota, Karl-Anthony Towns single-game scoring record was not met with the same excitement. The Timberwolves lost 128-125 to the Hornets despite KAT's 44 pts at the first half and a franchise record 62 pts to finish the game. Head Coach Chris Finch ripped his team for becoming preoccupied with Town's quest to put up points. The trade deadline is just over 2 weeks away and another early trade was executed this morning. The Miami Heat received Terry Rozier from the Hornets; In return the Hornets received Kyle Lowry and a lottery-protected 2027 first-round pick.

Kaz is not ready to anoint them the best in the West, but they will be a tough out in the playoffs. It took until the 21st home game of the season but the Celtics have finally lost at TD Garden. Their home winning streak of 27 straight wins dating back to last season was snapped by the reigning champion Denver Nuggets.
