    About Shiwa|

Shiwa Aziz is the cofounder of Moon and Skin and a mother of three, whose passion for skincare was inspired by her mother’s wisdom and years at the Lancôme counter. Rooted in the belief that skincare is an act of self-respect, Shiwa’s journey led her from simple routines to struggling with rosacea and ineffective products—until she returned to the basics. Collaborating with dermatologists, she launched Moon and Skin: a clean, minimal skincare line with just four essential products designed to simplify routines and support healthy, radiant skin. Today, Shiwa is on a mission to bring confidence and calm back to skincare for busy women everywhere.

  • [REPLAY] Teaching Children How to Play Independently | Sarah Therese (EP135)
    Jul 11 2025

Many of my current listeners may have missed this earlier episode with guest Sarah Therese—and even if you’ve heard it before, it’s definitely worth a re-listen, especially if you're parenting a child who struggles with independent play.

In this thoughtful conversation, we dive into the importance of solo play in childhood, how to support it in age-appropriate ways, and whether there’s such a thing as too much independence. Sarah also offers practical tips for mamas whose kids just aren’t getting the hang of it yet. It might take some trial and error, but the growth and freedom that come with independent play are well worth the effort!

I love everything about this podcast and the previous show minimalist moms. My favorite episodes past and present address increasing time outside/reducing screen time, parenting, people pleasing/boundary setting, and how to declutter individual places in the home and non-physical areas of your life.
