The physical resurrection of Jesus Christ is the cornerstone of the Christian Faith. People have many opinions about Jesus. He was a prophet, a teacher, philosopher, etc. The only problem with that is that He claimed to be God’s own son. And claimed the proof of that would be that He would die and three days later He would rise from the dead!

Mark 11:12–24 NLT

This story is not about a tree! It’s about: Religion without power. Spirituality without forgiveness. Form but no fruit. God but no grace! When cursed this tree.... He did something He never did again. The cursed tree was the only miracle of destruction that Jesus ever performed. It really wasn’t about the tree! This was about the temple, for Jesus! This was a prophetic picture!

Jesus opens this story with one of the most powerful and yet challenging scriptures in the bible. He’s teaching us to live for heaven more than earth. He’s teaching us to trust Him with our resources and our lives. But so much more than that He is teaching us Kingdom realities about what actually shapes our lives!
