    The gift from UChicago alums Rika and Joe Mansueto will be used to support the formation of a cohort of faculty who are pioneers in the use of Artificial Intelligence in research in disciplines across the university. UChicago officials say the 50-million-dollars also will help further the school's AI Initiative, which supports faculty-led AI-driven research projects in fields ranging from oncology to visual arts.

  • Applications to perform at Porchfest are due Friday

    At the appropriately-named music festival homeowners volunteer their porches to become stages for local artists and bands to perform a 45-minute concert. Porchfest Lakeview will be on May 31st and Porchfest Roscoe Village will be June 28th. Performers must submit their applications for either music event to the Lakeview Roscoe Village Chamber of Commerce by April 3rd.
