    May 15 2020

This is a love letter to every single Vincent Price fan, everyone I've met at a horror convention, and all of my fellow monster kids. You guys showed me what a heart tribe feels like. You have taught me how to love inclusively -- and you have cracked open my heart. I know we're all missing horror conventions these days, but we're still a heart tribe. • The Highest Compliment
    May 8 2020

My dad wrote this about my stepmother: "I have come to believe that the highest compliment is not remembering someone; it is missing them." When I first started this journey of healing my life, it was standing in my father's shoes that showed me the way back to my heart. That's why each episode this May (his birthday month) will be about something I learned from my dad. And this podcast is about realizing that much as I loved my dad, I don't think he quite went far enough with this quote. Because I have come to believe that the highest compliment we can pay someone who is no longer here is living their Legacy of Love forward. This is how we tap into and share our Capital L Love.

One Sunday morning at a horror convention in Kentucky, I got an impromptu sermon from a guy named Bill -- who looks like and is related to Dick Van Dyke, Burl Ives and possibly the Hatfields & McCoys. It was one of the most beautiful -- and surprising -- lessons about Love vs fear I've ever received. And I'll never forget it. Which is why I'm sharing it with you!

    Apr 12 2020

What do stories about cars have to do with love and fear? Find out why my dadwas mortified to own a Rolls Royce -- and how he taught me  an uncomfortable lesson about lying with an arch of his famous eyebrow. And then listen to my mom's admittedly idiosyncratic morality tale about a Buick and a Cadillac that still reminds me to choose Love not fear every single day!

This is a story about two trips to Alaska -- a lot of bears -- and what I learned there out in the wild about the shapeshifting habit of fear and the healing Power of Love.
