Storms are normal and inevitable. We have a hurricane season and a tornado season that come around as consistently as baseball season followed by football season. And then there are pop-up thunderstorms that arrive anytime. Just as sure are the figurative storms in life. You are going to go through them, that’s for sure. In February of 2023, the most remarkable and unexpected thing happened in what appeared at first to be an ordinary chapel service at Asbury University. God manifested His presence, and revival broke out. Like a wildfire, God sparked the same thing through campuses and churches across America. We need to seek God’s presence manifest among us yet again.

Throughout the years, we conservative Baptists have tended to shy away from anything that might cause others to wonder if we are really charismatics in disguise. If that’s the case then many of us have disguised our way to listless. This has been to our great detriment. It has caused us to try and live outside the protective and provisional and powerful work of the Holy Spirit. Tonight, we conservative Baptists need to know and experience the manifest presence of God.
