  • That Ain't Wain-Right: The Sixth Amendment for Public Good
    Mar 13 2026

    Send a text

This time Boozy sits down with the Certified Legal Layman, Alkali, for a discussion of how the United States simply decided that the Sixth Amendment didn't apply to the poors by dissecting the history leading up to the landmark case of Gideon v. Wainwright, which established the concept of a state-run public defender's office.

Also, AI gets someone more jail time and a someone tells the ethics board they aren't the boss of them.

Join Boozy and Alkali at Fursquared 2026 as they dedicate themselves to trying and stay on a schedule this year with a discussion of the statute of limitations, the difference between manslaughter and murder, and what happens when you keep a nerdy sex slave in the attic with the case of Otto Sanhuber - the F***boi in the Attic!

Recorded live at Fursquared 2026 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Audio will be wonky, we are working with new mics for live recordings and I screwed up the levels.

    Jul 21 2025

    Send a text

Join Boozy and the Certified Legal Layman, Alkali, as they record another live episode of Boozy's Legal Funhouse. This time, at Anthrocon 2025, the pair discuss the Pennsylvania case of Friends of Danny DeVito v. Wolf, wherein a conservative politician capitalizing on a liberal actor's name attempted to overturn the Governor's orders relating to the COVID-19 lockdowns in the Commonwealth by grossly misunderstanding the nature of police powers, statutory interpretation, Due Process, the First Amendment, and Equal Protection. Bonus: Did you know the King of England made this case possible in the first place?

  • Live at AnthrOhio 2025: Wong Kim's Arc
    Apr 28 2025

    Send a text

Join Boozy and a panel of folks, including Draggor and Iggy as well as a sock puppet pretending to be Alkali, for an episode of Boozy's Legal Funhouse recorded live at AnthrOhio 2025 in Columbus, Ohio. With Alkali off in Vegas, Boozy reached into the bag of "let's get political" to discuss the concept of birthright citizenship and how the Supreme Court has held for over a century that the only actually constitutionally protected form of citizenship is the one you gain from being born in a place with a discussion of the legal case of United States v. Wong Kim Ark.

Special thanks to the sound techs at AO who recorded this one from the board and gave us sound quality you can expect to never actually hear again.

Case materials are available for free on the Patreon HERE.

  • Live at MCFC '25 - Glory Glory Hole-lelujah
    Apr 7 2025

    Send a text

Join Boozy and the Certified Legal Layman, Alkali, as they appear live again to record another episode of the Legal Funhouse at Motor City Furry Convention's 2025 event in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

This time the two discuss the intersection of First Amendment rights, levels of review used in constitutional challenges, and engaging in oral sex through walls as they review the cases and statutes that led the Keystone State of Pennsylvania to outlaw gloryholes specifically. Because Boozy decided they needed to do a topic Alkali has some hands-on experience with, so to speak.

Also discussed: Judicial misbehavior from the (allegedly) most problematic judge in Indiana, and that time a U.S. Representative decided trials were something for other people, not citizens accused of crimes.

  • Live at Furthemore 2025 - Ain't This A Beach
    Mar 17 2025

    Send a text

Join Boozy and the Certified Legal Layman, Alkali, as they once again take the show on the road to Furthemore 2025 in another live recording.

In this episode the pair discuss the concept of the Public Trust Doctrine and what that means when two people from New Jersey have their beachfront home subjected to the traffic of lowly peons as North Carolina courts answer the question of whether they can own, in the words of Disney's Pocahontas, whatever land they land on in Nies v. Town of Emerald Isle.

Special features: Dead experts sign affidavits, Trump targets law firms, and a Bigfoot hunter doesn't get alimony.
