What a week. In a surprise move Kentucky filled its coaching vacancy by hiring former Cat Mark Pope. He's not as established as the top candidates or even the second tier ones. But here we are. There are varying degrees of reactions, but we all hope he succeeds.

As of now there hasn't been much change with Kentucky basketball. The change that did take place was Adou Thiero entering the transfer portal. Big loss if he doesn't decide to return. Ultimately it's all up to Cal. Sounds like the Cats have stepped up the tempo of the offense in spring practice. That will be a welcome sight. The weather just wouldn't let the Bat Cats beat Louisville.
