In this, our first Big Deal, we wrestle with the shootings in Gilroy, El Paso, and Dayton. We contemplate hate, love, the loss of nuance, and the absence of careful, thoughtful consideration. We ramble a bit, but it’s all in an effort to understand. We come to no conclusions and provide no answers; we just struggle, like so many others.
