Audio Drama: Hello Listener, You're On The Air

Welcome to the Michael J Crosa Portfolio, where I show you what’s possible with podcasting! Each episode I’ll share an example of a different style of podcast, and point out the unique elements of each one. Today’s episode is about audio dramas. These are scripted and usually fictional stories with actors and sound effects; they’re designed to immerse the listener in a story in the same way that a movie or TV show does. Aside from pure entertainment, audio dramas can be used for training scenarios, advertisements, and more.  This audio drama is called Hello Listener, You’re On The Air - a spooky story that takes place both in and on the air of a small town radio station. It even has some ad spoofs thrown in! I produced this in collaboration with Abby Brenker, a horror creator and the driving force behind the Lunatics Radio Hour podcast.
