He wanted the Thessalonians to know he had experienced whatever they might encounter in their future. It was obvious that false teachers and false leaders would invade this thriving church. They need to focus on prayer, guarding their testimony and seasoning their speech with salt. He warned employers to treat their workers fairly and be kind and loving to others no matter who the are. Then Paul notices all the faithful ones in Colossae and the surrounding area who supported him -some becoming prisoners to be with him as brothers in Christ.
