Adam and Wes discuss the end of the first half of the legislative session as Missouri heads into spring break. Nothing has changed since last week, but this is a time to pray and prepare to push hard when the legislature returns. We will need renewed calls and support.

We will also be taking a short break during the legislature’s spring recess and will return with another update the week the legislature is back in session.

Current Updates

• Personhood now needs a “Do Pass” vote in the Senate Emerging Issues and Professional Registration Committee.
• Equal Protection in the Senate still needs a hearing date in the same committee.
• Both pieces of legislation still need to be assigned to committees in the House by the Speaker.

Keep calling and reminding legislators: abortion must be abolished, and Personhood and Equal Protection are the righteous paths forward.

Adam and Wes discuss the hearing of SJR 72 on Monday, March 2. The big-picture issue: no “Pro-Life” leaders testified in support of this Personhood legislation.

Wes calls attention to this and challenges those he has invited to debate. If someone truly believes the unborn are persons from conception, why would they not speak up for and support Personhood in the constitution?

Wes and Adam discuss encouraging movement on our legislation. While there has been no progress in the House or on the Equal Protection bill in the Senate, SJR 72 (Personhood) has now been assigned a hearing date.

SJR 72 will be heard in Senate Room 2 on Monday, March 2nd at 1:00 PM.
