  • ADOH RADIO PRESENTS EPISODE 157: “A RADIO LISTENER” FEAT. DEITRICK HADDON
    May 1 2024

Our Guest Live - 5/01/2024. Get ready for an upcoming episode filled with uplifting music, positive energy, and our special guest, DEITRICK HADDON as we recap our radio listener with our favorite gospel legend.

Contemporary gospel singer Deitrick Haddon, born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, served as a pastor and music director at Detroit's Unity Cathedral of Faith. Growing up in a religious household with Bishop Clarence Haddon and Prophetess Joyce Haddon as parents, he delivered his first sermon at the young age of 11.

Deitrick Haddon and his Voices of Unity blended secular and spiritual influences, creating a unique "gospel soul" sound. Initially signed with the Tyscot label, their debut in 1995 with "Come Into This House" was followed by "Live the Life" two years later, earning them Gospel Music Workshop of America Excellence Awards. Transitioning to a solo career and joining the Verity label, Haddon released albums like "Lost and Found," the Tim & Bob collaboration "7 Days," and "Church on the Moon." Throughout his career, he continued to push the boundaries of contemporary gospel with releases such as "A Beautiful Soul" and "R.E.D." Haddon gained further recognition through the reality series "Preachers of LA" in the mid-2010s and topped the gospel charts with albums like "Deitrick Haddon's LXW" and "Masterpiece." In 2017, he released a live LP featuring the single "A Billion People" and collaborated with Grammy-winning producer Zaytoven on the 2018 Christmas EP "Greatest Gift." In June 2020, Haddon released the impactful track "I Can't Breathe," addressing George Floyd's death and supporting the Black Lives Matter movement.

These days, Haddon is busy launching recent music with a new album releasing for his birthday on May 17th. In addition to releasing fresh tracks, Haddon is commencing a radio listening tour initiative in collaboration with Feed the Hungry, with a goal of providing meals for 5,000 individuals.

Our event was held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, A Dose of Hope Radio featuring Deitrick Haddon at the Family Fun Theater (FFX) on the Virginia Beach Oceanfront, situated at 206 16th Street, VB VA 23451. Presented in partnership with Big Mind Group and J&K Style Grill (Food Sponsor). We had a blast, tune in to listen to the recap.

  • ADOH RADIO PRESENTS EPISODE 153: “NATIONAL BLOOD CLOT” FEAT. LESLIE & STEPHANIE
    Mar 20 2024

Our Guest Live - 3/20/2024. This episode will feature inspirational music, positive inspirations, and the wonderful people from the National Blood Clot Alliance in honor of National Blood Clot month.

We are excited to have Leslie Lake, a blood clot survivor and the president of the National Blood Clot Alliance (NBCA), along with Stephanie Martinez, also a blood clot survivor, share their stories. Did you know that in the United States, 100,000 people die from blood clots annually, and 70% of these deaths could have been prevented? Surprisingly, blood clots claim more lives than HIV/AIDS, breast cancer, and motor vehicle accidents combined, surpassing even opioid overdoses. Despite these statistics, the blood clot community lacks federal funding. Each year, 900,000 Americans receive a blood clot diagnosis, with many facing long-term health complications as survivors. Shockingly, studies reveal that less than 10% of Americans can recognize the signs and symptoms of a blood clot. In March, the NBCA will be in Washington DC advocating for funding for The National Blood Clot Education and Awareness Program. This initiative aims to enhance public and healthcare provider awareness about blood clots. It marks the first-ever proposed federal bill addressing this pressing public health issue. Blood clots can affect anyone and do not discriminate. On behalf of the National Blood Clot Alliance, we appreciate the opportunity to bring attention to this crucial matter. Join us as we engage in conversation with these remarkable guests.

Jill Wright serves as a time management strategist for SuperMoms, specializing in developing systems that assist them in both their business and family life. Her expertise lies in empowering clients to manage their time effectively, maximize their hours, and achieve a balance without feeling overwhelmed. In addition to her role, Jill is an author, public speaker, and the host of the Grow Like a Mother podcast. Her book, "Happy Healthy Wealthy and Wise," is available at all major bookstores. Thomas Bynum knew early in life that he would dedicate his life to Christ. Observing the church drummer closely during praise and worship, he was inspired. One day, when the drummer was absent, Thomas took the opportunity to showcase his drumming skills. The congregation was amazed by his talent as they were unaware of his abilities. Over the years, he played for various ministries and eventually transitioned to the keyboard. Recognizing his gift at a young age, Thomas started producing beats in his teens. This led him to not only create beats from scratch but also make thoughtful selections for his projects. As he developed, he ventured into composing and writing music for himself. Growing in his skills, he began not only to produce but also to engineer his own music. His albums such as "Psalms 100", "Jesus", and "3:16" reflect his progress from his humble beginnings to the present day. Thomas is deeply committed to ministry and his spiritual connection with God. Acknowledging God as the true author and finisher of his faith, he is on a mission to bring souls to the Kingdom. An anointing is evident in his life, and he sees himself as a vessel for God's work, persisting until victory is achieved.
