Victims need advocate when Justice System involved

This is an excellent podcast which highlights problems within the criminal justice system. First thing you hear from law enforcement is their "lack of resources." Then, you realize that politics are heavily involved with everything - elected mayors, elected sheriffs, elected district attorneys, etc. Constituents with the power of money and influence choose which needs are met first - they influence budgets, priorities, whose agenda is more important than another's. So, you must be your own advocate, or family and friends need to really get involved. Because, if you fail to impress upon the justice system with your case's merit, or you do not have financial or influential backing, your odds of solving wrongs are severely hampered. Adequate resources are crucial when there is no crime scene, body, or weapon used in the crime found with readable fingerprints and there is plenty of DNA. Hopefully, the crime is caught clearly on camera. Thank you, NBC, for allowing your resources be used to truly inform citizens!
