Brandon Ortega, the former three-time NMBA Sports Broadcaster of the Year at KOB in Albuquerque, has left the local TV news life. Ortega left KOB to join UNM and head coach Danny Gonzales as the named Assistant Director for Creative Services for Football. Gonzales announced the addition of Ortega with the football program on Aug. 14. Oretga joins The Pit Press Podcast with Ed Nunez and Ryan Tomari about his new role with the Lobos, his day-to-day job functions and his thoughts on what fans can expect from the 2023 version of UNM football.
