混沌 hùn dùn - chaos; formless state

暗暗的 àn àn de - dark; dim

斧頭 fǔ tóu - axe

劈開 pī kāi - to split open; to chop apart

盤古 Pán Gǔ - Pangu (mythical creator figure)

盤古開天 Pán Gǔ kāi tiān - Pangu creating the heavens and earth

女媧 Nǚ Wā - Nüwa (mythical goddess who created humans)

泥土 ní tǔ - mud; clay; soil

捏 niē - to knead; to mold by hand

天空 tiān kōng - sky

破 pò - to break; to be broken

土地 tǔ dì - land; ground

裂 liè - to crack; to split

火山爆發 huǒ shān bào fā - volcanic eruption

大洪水 dà hóng shuǐ - great flood

不忍心 bù rěn xīn - cannot bear to; feel compassion

煉五色石 liàn wǔ sè shí - to refine five-colored stones (mythological act by Nüwa)

補起來 bǔ qǐ lái - to mend; to patch up
